Are you wondering how you can enjoy more craft beer in Woodstock? Did you miss our 5 Course Beer Dinner with Dry County Brewing Company this week? If your answer is “yes” to either of these, mark your calendar for Thursday June 22 for the Abbey of the Holy Goats Tap Takeover event at Freight Kitchen & Tap.
Craft Beer in WoodstockCome to the Tap Takeover
From Thursday through Saturday, Roswell brewery Abbey of the Holy Goats will occupy four of our beer taps. And from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm on Thursday, the Abbey crew will be present to hand out gifts and merchandise to beer buyers. The brews offered will be Unholy Goat (7%), a Belgian dubbel with raisin and port tones; Goat’s Obsession (8.7%), a Belgian style India dark ale with heavy hop aroma; Goats of the First Order (4.2%), a multilayered session ale with a malty body; and Witty Goat (4.8%), a Belgian style mango Witbier. We encourage you to get to know our friends from Abbey, for the brewery has an impeccable story.
We invite you to “commune with your senses” and experience a night (or two or three) of gastronomically designed beers. Visitation of the brewery’s team to our restaurant is a kind gesture that proves devotion to a trusted partnership. Freight loves being one with the community and nothing is more humbling than our guests’ support of not only the restaurant, but the companies that keep us moving. Kathy Davis, founder of Abbey of the Holy Goats, was at a standstill a few years ago when faced with the decision to start a goat farm in Maine or follow her passion of the production of award-winning beer. We think she found her niche. Downtown Woodstock welcomes you to be a part of this exciting event. It’s not just summertime, it’s the weekend! There is no excuse for missing out, so all aboard.
