Dinner in Downtown Woodstock, GAKentucky Derby
The Kentucky Derby is the largest continually held sporting event in America and draws in a crowd of about 155,000. It’s often called “the most exciting two minutes in sports”. Considered one of the most prestigious horse races in the world, the winning purse is $2 million. Mint juleps and wide-brimmed hats are just a couple of many Derby traditions. The race is presented by Woodford Reserve, the bourbon Freight will use for this Saturday’s juleps. This isn’t an event to be taken lightly, as many folks wager heavily on the horses. Wagering is complicated, dynamic, and requires knowledge about more than just the horse itself. This is part of what makes it so exciting to watch. That, and the fact that it’s literally only two minutes long.
Before all of Saturday’s excitement, come out to dinner in downtown Woodstock, GA for Friday Night Live. Check out the Red Hare draft beer tent outside of Freight in our rock garden.
