Freight Kitchen & Tap is a great holiday party venue located in the historic depot building right on the train tracks in downtown Woodstock, GA.
The Depot was built in 1912 by the Louisville & Nashville Railroad as a replacement depot, and it served as a shipping and receiving freight–including agricultural products, as well as the arrival and departure of passengers for travel, work, attending schools, departing for military service, etc. Passenger service ended in 1949.
The interior of the building was renovated in 2011 as Freight Kitchen opened its doors. Rob Morneweck and Neel Sengupta, the co-owners, highlighted the spirit and architecture of the building in order to preserve the history and beauty of the town. Five years later, we celebrate the end of a great year, 2016. We are thankful for our great Woodstock community and loyal return guests.
The beauty of the building and outstanding unique southern fare, make Freight Kitchen & Tap a great holiday party venue. There is a private upstairs loft, large main dining, and outdoor patio area. We offer custom menus for large parties as well as the best service for guests. You can also check out our holiday party drinks menu, which is a favorite item revisited yearly.
