While we should thank our veterans every day of the year, November 11th is the day we honor them wholeheartedly. A group of wounded veterans recently visited downtown Woodstock, GA as part of the Road Warrior Foundation’s annual Road Warrior Ride. They felt humbled and warmly welcomed, but we didn’t want it to end there. This coming Veteran’s Day, we invite all veterans to eat for free at Freight Kitchen & Tap. We love our veterans and a meal on us is the absolute least we could do to show our support. A few of our Freight team members are veterans themselves, so November 11th is certainly important to us.
Also, this weekend is the 21st Annual Holiday Tour of Homes hosted by the Woodstock Junior Woman’s Club. Enjoy a tour of five beautiful homes decorated by professional designers. Ticket sales will benefit six families sponsored by Cherokee County Homeless Veterans who have suffered through hardship. The holidays are all about giving. And there’s no greater feeling than giving back to people who have made great sacrifices, especially our veterans. The tours will take place Saturday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Sunday from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Freight is a proud sponsor of this event. Do a good deed and help those in need by purchasing tickets today.
After winding down from the weekend, stop in for Monday Night Burger Battle. Watch the Miami Dolphins play the Carolina Panthers while you chow down on a savory burger. Throw in a $4 local draft beer while you’re at it – a deal we offer every Monday. This coming Monday’s burger battle includes:
Miami Dolphins Cuban Burger – 8 oz. dry aged local beef patty (pressed), pulled pork, sliced ham, dill pickle, yellow mustard, and swiss cheese.
Carolina Panthers BBQ Burger – 8 oz. dry aged local beef patty, Carolina barbecue sauce, chopped pork, and slaw.
