Do you know what’s more romantic than Valentine’s Day dinner in downtown Woodstock, GA? Absolutely nothing. A quaint little town like Woodstock is the perfect spot for date night; more specifically, farm to table restaurant Freight Kitchen & Tap. To make things easier, our head chef, Caleb, put together a three-course prix fixe menu for Valentine’s Day. This means couples can spend less time scanning the menu and more time enjoying each other’s company. Here are your options for Thursday February 14th…
-Georgia cheese plate
-Fried mac and cheese balls
-Pickled vegetable plate (vegan)
-Ratatouille with parsley pesto (vegan)
-8 oz. New York strip with zucchini noodles, fried beets, maple and cocoa balsamic reduction, bearnaise sauce
-Red fish etouffee over a bed of amaranth and asparagus
-Orange spiced shortcake with maple pecans
-Vanilla bourbon bread pudding
-Fig Bark (vegan)
Do those sound delicious or what? Good luck with your decisions, every plate sounds like a contender. Caleb didn’t make it easy for you. But no matter what you choose, pair your meal with a drink from our full bar. Any glass of red wine would go great with the New York strip. If you’re into white wine, have a glass with the red fish etouffee. Not into wine? That’s fine! Freight has 22 different local craft beers on draft in addition to more bourbons and whiskeys than you can count. Also, Thursdays at Freight are for martini specials! Any house martini of your choice is only $5. How convenient that Valentine’s Day falls on a Thursday.
Just a heads up – you don’t have to be in a relationship to spend Valentine’s Day with us! We accept all relationship statuses. Freight is a no judgement zone. We want to see your smiling face whether you’re single or not. And if you are, that’s what the booze are for.
