You already know that Metro Atlantans love their beer, but did you know that our region is among the top in Nation for growth in the craft beer segment. Atlanta has seen quality notable additions in the craft beer category. Less than a decade ago there were only three widely know brewers whose operations were based in Georgia (Sweetwater, Terrapin and Atlanta Brewing Co.). Now the success of these old guard combined with a progressive Georgia legislature has ushered in a new crop of beer focused entrepreneurs who are taking the craft of brewing to new heights. When you come to FREIGHT Kitchen & Tap you’ll find that we embrace the local beer maker and offer an opportunity to showcase their skills and talent to Downtown Woodstock. Unlike any other downtown restaurant, FREIGHT focuses half of their draft offering on Georgia based brews. In addition we’re building a quality bottle and can beer selection that will feature American beers from around the country. So crack open a cold one this summer and make sure at least one of your beers is a craft!
Here’s a short list of our local beer producers, we encourage you to select one of their artisan products every time you are considering a beer. FREIGHT often features many of their beers on draft or in bottle: Sweetwater Brewery, Terrapin Brewing Co., Monday Night Brewing, Wild Heaven Brewing, Jailhouse Brewery, Burnt Hickory Brewery, & Red Hare Brewing Co.
