It’s the spookiest month of the year and we’re ready! There’s so much going on this month in downtown Woodstock. For example, Freight Kitchen & Tap has new local craft beer for October’s brewery of the month – Second Self.
Georgia Tech grads, Chris Doyle and Jason Santamaria, founded Second Self with a passion for beer. By day, these guys lived regular lives and worked regular jobs. But, by night, they focused on making their beer brewing dream a reality. They referred to this alter ego as “second self”.
If you want to follow Second Self’s motto and “sip into your second self”, come to Freight any time throughout October and enjoy a Second Self brew for just $6. Tomorrow October 4this Friday Night Live in downtown Woodstock, so it’s the perfect time to hit the town and enjoy yourself with a beer. The theme is scarecrow fest and you can already see plenty of scarecrows lining Main St. This happens every year in October and we can’t get enough of it.
Tomorrow night is special for Freight Kitchen & Tap. We will host a fundraiser for hurricane Dorian relief that includes beer, cocktail, and food specials. Right now, we have a special bottled beer from the Bahamas called Kalik. Try one while you enjoy a traditional Bahamian fish fry. All donations go toward supplies and prepaid gift cards that our general manager, Michelle, will deliver DIRECTLY to the people and the Grand Bahama Humane Society Tuesday October 8th.
We told you there’s a lot going on this month! Stay tuned for more exciting news about what October has to offer. Downtown Woodstock always does it big this time of year. Let’s hope it cools down some more before all the fun begins. Prepare for the worst (heat), but hope for the best (cool)!
