It’s that time of year again! Here come new menu updates at the best restaurants in Woodstock, GA. But don’t get your panties in a wad just because Freight Kitchen & Tap made some changes. Our culinary team always keeps guest opinion in mind when nipping and tucking seasonal menus.
According to our friend Eric from Forerunner Foods (produce), winter isn’t an easy time for Georgia agriculture. However, he makes do with what our state can provide this time of year such as rich, leafy greens. This means lots of collards and swiss chard, among a few other seasonal veggies.
Let’s cut to the chase. Here’s what we have to offer for Freight’s first menu update of 2019…
-Gluten free chicken & wild rice soup (cup/bowl)
-Gouda mac & cheese (it’s back!)
-Steak salad (6 oz. sirloin, mixed greens, red onion, tomato, blue cheese crumbles, choice of dressing)
-Salmon salad (Atlantic salmon, mixed greens, feta cheese, oranges, grapefruit, avocado, pecans, choice of dressing)
-Bean & rice burger (house made bean and wild rice burger, lettuce, tomato, onion, parsley pesto, ciabatta bun, choice of side)
-Pulled pork sandwich (Sweetwater 420 braised pork shoulder, pickles, apple smoked barbecue sauce, choice of side)
-Chicken & waffles (fried chicken breast, cinnamon apple waffle, pickled apple, cinnamon honey, choice of side)
-Seasonal harvest (wild rice, beets, swiss chard, asparagus, parsley pesto)
-Scallops (sea scallops, wild rice, swiss chard, parsnip/apple butter)
-Crab cakes (jumbo lump crab cakes, beets, asparagus, squash, parsnip/cucumber tzatziki)
-Braise burger (8 oz. dry aged ground beef or venison, braised chuck, cheddar, fried green tomato, caramelized onion, smoked apple barbecue sauce, choice of side)
-BRUNCH EXCLUSIVE braised beef hash (three over easy eggs and spicy aioli served on a bed of home fries sautéed with braised chuck, caramelized onion, Cajun seasoning)
