Are you bored with the same old options every time you go out to eat? Do you wonder when there will be new items at “restaurants near me”? The good news is there are new things to eat at Freight Kitchen & Tap in downtown Woodstock. We made a few summer menu updates that we think you will love.
New Dishes at Restaurants Near MeMenu Updates
For appetizers, we introduce two tasty nibblers – gazpacho (cup or bowl) and crawfish hush puppies. Gazpacho is a cold soup made of raw, blended vegetables. In this case, we use green tomato and Vidalia onion. Garnished with a honey drizzle, this starter dish is perfect for anyone willing to try something different, yet delicious. Now for the crawfish hush puppies. You guys know we don’t mess around when it comes to southern food and these hush puppies surely don’t disappoint. We serve them with a spicy house-made remoulade sauce that takes the dish home.
Let’s move on to entrees. You may have tried our famous crab cakes before, but the new dinner setup is even more mouthwatering. Enjoy two jumbo lump crab cakes, andouille sausage, bacon confit marble potatoes, and old bay aioli. Our new NY strip setup also features said confit potatoes. It’s a 10 oz. NY strip from Bear Creek Cattle Company (Ellijay, GA) served with pommes aligot (bacon confit marbled potatoes pureed with tomme cheese), grilled broccolini, and preserved mushrooms.
For the folks who want a much lighter option, try our new farmhouse salad. This colorful salad includes mixed greens, arugula, roasted beets, pecans, goat cheese crumbles, local peas/beans, peaches, and grilled broccolini. Top your farmhouse salad with some protein like grilled chicken or salmon. Oh, and don’t forget your choice of dressing on the side (lemon vinaigrette is the best).
At this point, we assume your mouth is drenched in saliva, so please come satisfy your cravings!
