What’s something that makes summer in downtown Woodstock so great? The ability to enjoy summer concerts for FREE. Yes, free. That means you and the whole family (the dog too) can spend an evening together out on the town at no cost. However, we highly suggest you bring some money to spend on a delicious dinner at one of the best restaurants in Woodstock, GA – Freight Kitchen & Tap, of course.
So, what’s the big idea about these summer concerts anyway? Well, other than being free, the acts are quite entertaining! This Saturday July 13th come see the B.B. King Blues Band featuring Michael Lee. You may recognize Lee from the hit television show The Voice. He has teamed up with this band to tour and keep the music legacy of B.B. King alive. This band sells out at least 250 shows per year! The B.B. King Blues Band never disappoints with classics like “The Thrill is Gone”, “Every Day I Have the Blues”, “How Blues Can You Get”, and “Why I Sing the Blues”. The show starts at 7:30 PM at the Northside Hospital Cherokee Amphitheater.
If you want to come out a little early Saturday night, stop by the Red Hare beer tent in our rock garden at Freight. Red Hare is our brewery of the month, so we’re partying with them as much as we can throughout July. What’s cool about downtown Woodstock is that you can walk around with drinks, so grab a beer and take a stroll down Main St. It’s the perfect way to pass time until the concert starts. Feel free to shoot the breeze with our beertender as well, they enjoy the company.
Don’t let this southern heat keep you inside! Embrace the outdoors this weekend with a concert in downtown Woodstock, GA. You won’t regret it.
