How about this spring weather? We can’t get enough of it! What a perfect reason to get out of the house tomorrow for Taste of Woodstockin downtown Woodstock, GA. From 5 PM to 9 PM, the Elm Street Cultural Arts Village Event Green will house this event. Participating local restaurants will set up and serve delicious samples of their best dishes. Obviously, Freight Kitchen & Tap will be there. Our general manager, Bobby, will represent Freight’s booth by proudly dispensing our finest fare. Admission is free, but tickets per taste are 50 cents with packages starting at $5. Some restaurants may require multiple tickets per taste depending on the food.
Here’s what to expect from Freight’s booth:
Fried Mac & Cheese with Spicy Remoulade (3 tickets)
Shrimp & Grits (6 tickets)
Chicken & Waffle Sliders (6 tickets)
Pineapple Upside Down Bread Pudding (3 tickets)
Are you a fan of Woodstock’s own Reformation Brewery? Well, they have a treat for downtown Woodstock. After collaborating with downtown Woodstock restaurants, Reformation will debut its WDSTK pale ale tomorrow at Taste of Woodstock. Want to know the best part about this? WDSTK pale ale will only be available on draft at restaurants in downtown Woodstock (including Freight) beginning sometime next week. Keep your eyes peeled for tap handles made from repurposed railroad spikes! What else makes this beer cool? It’s a pale ale inspired by southern cuisine crafted with a portion of grits in the recipe. We can’t wait to try it and soon pour it for you!
Will we see you tomorrow at Taste of Woodstock? Again, you can’t deny getting out in this weather. Add this event to your agenda for a night of good food, good beer, and good company. Plus, it’s a night off from cooking dinner at your own house.
